Does Crumbl make gluten-free cookies?
No, currently, Crumbl does not offer any gluten-free cookies. The popular bakery changes cookie recipes on a weekly basis, and according to their website, they do not plan on creating any gluten-free cookies. That means if we want the fun Crumbl cookie experience, we have to make them. That's okay, though, because we can customize these cookies so they are delicious and allergy-friendly.
So the next time you are craving something chocolate, then give these gluten-free double chocolate cookies a try. They are baked and ready to enjoy faster than Crumbl can deliver.
Ingredients for the best Crumbl copycat gluten-free chocolate cookies.
- Gluten-free Flour Blend - Not all blends are created equal and can yield varying results. I use King Author 1:1 blend for these cookies that already contain xanthan gum.
- Cocoa Powder - I use Hershey's special dark cocoa powder for the best chocolate flavor in these cookies.
- Egg + Egg Yolk - Don't skip the extra yolks for the best texture.
- Sugar
- Brown Sugar
- Baking Soda
- Baking Powder
- Salt
- Butter - You can sub in a dairy-free alternative (in stick form) to make these gluten-free, dairy-free chocolate cookies. (You will also want to make sure your chocolate chips are dairy-free.)
- Vanilla - If you want to spice these up, you can sub the vanilla for some peppermint extract for some easy gluten-free
- Chocolate Chips - I usually use semi-sweet chocolate chips in these double chocolate cookies, but you can easily sub in what you like. I even like using a combination of a few.
- Chopped Nuts (optional) - If you want to take these gluten-free chocolate cookies to the next level, add in some of your favorite chopped nuts. Macadamia and walnuts go perfectly with chocolate cookies.
Let's make the dough for these gluten-free double chocolate cookies.
- Cream the butter and sugars.
- Mix the cocoa powder, eggs, and vanilla into the butter and sugars.
- Fold in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

Tips for making the best gluten-free Crumbl chocolate cookies.
- Follow the directions - The order in which these gluten-free chocolate cookies are put together matters to get the best flavor and texture, especially if you want that Crumbl chocolate dream cookie result.
- Watch your flour blend - If your blend contains xanthan gum, skip adding more. If your blend does not have xanthan gum, add a teaspoon when adding the dry ingredients.
- Do NOT overbake - These gluten-free chocolate cookies are baked to where the middle is soft and fudgy, and the edges are slightly chewy. Overbaking can lead to dry cookies.
Make cookie dough ahead of time and storring cookies.
Yes, you can make the dough ahead of time. I like to portion out the dough and freeze it in balls to bake off a little at a time. No need to worry about defrosting the dough fully when you are ready to bake; just add 1-2 extra minutes to your baking time.
You can store these double chocolate cookies in an airtight container at room temperature. If you want to keep them chilled like Crumbl does, you can store them in the fridge or freezer. Storing the cookies in the freezer will help them stay fresher for longer.
