Combine the heavy cream, milk, sugar and cocoa powder into a small saucepan over medium heat and whisk until combined and the liquid is at a low simmer.
Add the chocolate and continue to whisk until all of the chocolate is melted.
Remove the sauce from the heat and let it sit about five minutes to cool slightly and thicken.
Pour the sauce mixture into your popsicle molds and place them into the freezer for at least six hours or until frozen.
How to Make Dairy-free Fudgesicles
Heavy Cream – Sub in full-fat coconut cream.
Milk – Sub in full-fat canned coconut milk.
Chocolate – I always use Enjoy Life chocolate that’s already dairy-free.
I do not recommend making this recipe with low-fat canned coconut milk or the coconut milk from a carton because they contain more water content. That can leave these fudgesicles a little more icy and not as creamy.I have also tried them with almond milk in place of the milk and heavy cream, and the results were more on the icy side. Still delicious but not as creamy.
