Sara Vaughn
These Homemade Fudgesicles are made with just five simple ingredients, and couldn’t be easier to make. These put the store-bought kind and the ice cream truck to shame this summer!

  • Popsicle Mold

  • 2 C Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 C Milk
  • 3 TBS Cocoa Powder
  • ¾ C Sugar
  • 8 OZ Chocolate

  • Combine the heavy cream, milk, sugar and cocoa powder into a small saucepan over medium heat and whisk until combined and the liquid is at a low simmer.
  • Add the chocolate and continue to whisk until all of the chocolate is melted.
  • Remove the sauce from the heat and let it sit about five minutes to cool slightly and thicken.
  • Pour the sauce mixture into your popsicle molds and place them into the freezer for at least six hours or until frozen.

How to Make Dairy-free Fudgesicles
  • Heavy Cream – Sub in full-fat coconut cream.
  • Milk – Sub in full-fat canned coconut milk.
  • Chocolate – I always use Enjoy Life chocolate that’s already dairy-free.
do not recommend making this recipe with low-fat canned coconut milk or the coconut milk from a carton because they contain more water content. That can leave these fudgesicles a little more icy and not as creamy.
I have also tried them with almond milk in place of the milk and heavy cream, and the results were more on the icy side. Still delicious but not as creamy.
