  • 4 C Old Fashion Oats Gluten-free
  • 1 C Chopped Pecans or Walnuts Optional
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ C Sugar
  • 2 TBS Cinnamon
  • ½ C Apple Sauce
  • ¼ C Honey
  • ¼ C Butter
  • 2 TBS Molassas
  • 1 Large Egg White
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • ½ C Dried Apples Chopped


  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
  • In a large bowl combine the oats, nuts (if using) sugar, salt and cinnamon and stir to combine.
  • In a small saucepan combine the butter, honey, molassas and vanilla over medium heat.
  • When the mixture just starts to boil take it off the heat and stir in the apple sauce, then pour it over the bowl with the oats to combine.
  • Mic the wet ingredients into the dry until it is evenly coated.
  • In another small bowl whisk the egg white until it is white and frothy and then fold it into the oat mixture.
  • Spread the oat mixture onto the baking sheet lightly pressing it down.
  • Bake the granola in the oven, about 30 minutes or until the mixture is golden brown stirring occationally.
  • Remove the granola from the oven and add the chopped dried apples to the top, lightly pressing them in.
  • Allow the granola to cool completely before breaking it up and storing it in an airtight container and enjoying!
